Acquisition Document Streamlining

Description: Acquisition Document Streamlining provides practical techniques for organizing a non-major program beginning with an operational requirement document (ORD) and ending with a draft commercial item solicitation. Participants work in teams to analyze the ORD, conduct market research, apply Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV) analysis and make a commerciality determination based on the FAR definition of "Commercial Item". Participants then draft program documents required for Milestone Decision, including Acquisition Strategy and an abbreviated Test and Evaluation Master Plan. Finally, participants use the results of all previous decisions to craft a solicitation under FAR Part 12's very streamlined commercial item provisions. The templates used throughout the workshop are ideal for use with the graduates' own programs upon return to home station.

Who Should Attend? All Acquisition Professionals in specialties responsible for requirements, design, acquisition, support and procurement of military material.
