Managing Medical Acquisition Programs (MMAP)

Description: Both versions of the three-day MMAP workshop provides participants a practical method to organize a medical acquisition program, beginning with a draft requirement and ending with a practice source selection. Participants working in integrated teams analyze a draft operational requirement, conduct market research, apply Cost As an Independent Variable (CAIV) analysis, all leading to a commerciality determination. Participants then analyze and draft key portions of the solicitation based on their determination of commerciality. The MMAP I course takes the commercial item route; the MMAP II looks at a new development effort. Templates are introduced and used as group decision-making tools, and are ideal for use with the graduates' own programs upon return to their offices.

Who Should Attend? Government and Industry workers in all specialties responsible for requirements, design, acquisition, support and procurement of Army medical material. This includes, but is not limited to the researchers, users, engineering, logistics, contracting, budget specialists, and Industry Representatives.
